AKA Boston Fern
Care: Thrives with a little TLC.
Light Levels: Enjoys bright but indirect light, too much sun will turn the delicate leaves brown and yellow and this can really hinder their growth.
Water + Humidity: Ferns are especially fond of humidity and damp soil, so it’s best to water this plant little and often, misting the delicate leaves recreates the effects of a natural humid environment.
Pet / Baby Safe: Toxic if ingested.
Air Purification: Yes
Suitable for Beginners: Yes. These plants will thrive if you give them the odd trim too, just watch out for the little thorns the bigger fronds will have.
Why we love them: A staple in any plant collection, these plants look like miniature forests and will bring a feeling of zen to any space.
Fun Fact: The nephrolepsis fern is known commonly as a Boston fern after being discovered in a large shipment of ferns that travelled from Philadelphia to Boston in 1894.
